Children rescued from electrical appliances factory

New Delhi, 4th May, 2010

Delhi Government’s Task Force on Elimination of Child Labour, local Police and Labour Department on a complaint filed by Bachpan Bachao Andolan rescued 3 children in Nangloi from a factory that manufactures electric sockets.

The most shocking thing is that the factories were illegally running in a residential area. When SDM Nangloi Mr. R.P Singh along with the police team went to seal the factories, they found out children as young as 8 years making electrical sockets. The employer Sunil Kumar was not traced but a legal notice has been issued on his name.

All the rescued children belong to Bihar.
